The Four of Us- Bowling
Matt had to spend his day off fixing the starter motor in our Pajero (lucky him) and Hannah was in daycare today, so I decided to spend the day out with the three big kids.
We went down to Newy and started with lunch at Maccas and a play, then we went ten pin bowling. I haven’t been in years, not since Liv’s 6th birthday party. The kids went with my family in Melbourne, but as I wasn’t with them then I figured it would be a nice way to spend time with them, doing something we couldn’t do if Hannah was with us.
We had a ball. I joined in, I just stood at the line and bowled with my left hand. I’m hopeless doing it left handed, so I think I came 2nd and then 4th in the two games, which the kids were happy about! At one point I got frustrated with using my left hand, so tried using my right hand. It hurt like hell and my shoulder is still throbbing (I know, I never learn) but I got a strike! lol If I ever get on top of this bugger of a condition, watch out kids- you’ll never beat me at bowling Bwah ha ha ha!
Anyway, we had a great time. Dayne managed to get a strike without using the ramp or hitting the bumpers, which was amazing as he nearly dropped the ball every time he tried to swing it. He’d stand there and swing it back and forth a few times, then throw it. The girls also got a few strikes, and a ton of spares.

After bowling, they got to spend some money at the shopping centre and we exchanged Bailey’s new size 4 Nike runners (a Christmas present, as she plays tennis) for a ladies size 6 pair. Her feet are so big! We bought a few big packs of lollies for the drive home and a ton of hairbands (I’m always buying them! Where do they disappear to?!), picked up Hannah from daycare and came home, exhausted!
It was so good to spend time with them on their own, without Hannah, as I could give them my full attention and time and I was more relaxed, too.
Hopefully next Thursday Matt can join us so we can take them somewhere else. :-)
